To find a good candidate for this case study, I viewed the top posts in /r/GirlsGoneBitcoin as of April 19, 2013. The top posts were submitted by user, LetsGetOutof (source, screenshot)

LetsGetOutof posted 12 times to /r/GirlsGoneBitcoin without revealing her face (source, screenshot)

She associated the Bitcoin address, 1EcyNgFBifUkypV32i2kWS2TU1uzQFd88r, to every submission.

I used Blockchain.info to analyze the Bitcoin address, 1EcyNgFBifUkypV32i2kWS2TU1uzQFd88r. I used Bitcoin Charts to get the Bitcoin weighted USD exchange rate for the dates given (source, screenshot). I created a spreadsheet calculating the converted USD price at the time of each Bitcoin tip.

Some people also tipped via the bitcointip bot. Here is a spreadsheet showing the bitcointip data.

I combined the totals from BTC sent directly to her BTC address and the BTC sent via bitcointip. These totals do not include any Bitcoin sent privately.

LetsGetOutof received 25.74529897 BTC within a 4 month period. If she exchanged her BTC at the time they were tipped that would be about $522.04 USD.

If she held on to all the Bitcoin and exchanged the BTC at the time of this writing that would be about $3,074.76 USD.

If she exchanged the BTC during the record high that would be about $5,526.74 USD.
